ive had a cold for about a week now, and it seems to be getting worse i cant breathe ,i got horrible stuff im coughing up, im so scared its something else i cant stop shaking today either, in my head im telling myserlf it cant just be this and im about to die

Sounds like you should be going to the docs, if your couging stuff up hunny. Its more than likely just a chest infection.

hope you get well soon amanda. Colds are horrible and us anxious folk know how to rev up the symptoms but loads of people have got colds at the moment as well as the dreaded hay fever. When yur nose and head are all stuffed up it is a horrible feeling. Try puting some vick or karvel capsule into a bowl of really hot water and just let yourself breathe in the vapours. I don't like putting the towel over my head as that is scarey for me but without the towel is quite good.

Try and get some rest and think about all the times when you've had a cold before it really isn't anything more sinister just unpleasant for a while.

ty sheba ,ive got the drs at 5 so hopefully he will put my mind at rest, i spoke to him on phone earlier and he said best to come for a check up, now im even more scared anyway ill post how it goes thanks for the reply xx

ty all i went to drs ive got a virus aparantly, he checked my b/p etc and said it was ok why is everything always a virus ? anyway still feeling not good but happier i know what it is now thanks again

hey amanda, try eating lots of berries, they are loaded with vitamin C and anti-oxidants.

I found that eating blueberries and pomegranates work great when you're sick, those really give your immune system a boost.

Also try drinking vitamin water. My favorite, well my mom told me about it, is hot water with lemon and ginger in it. It usually stopped my colds dead in their tracks.
