what can cause Anemia?

My mums lodger is a lovely guy, he has lost a lot of weight recently and is tired. They did a blood test at the doctors and instead of taking a week to come back the results were back within 2 days. They said he had Anemia, and has to go for more tests.
What can cause that?

Hi there, well lots of things can cause anaemia so thers no point in guessing the reason for him. The tests will give the reason.
