tensing throat

hi all have been tensing my muscles in my throat and grinding teeth would this cause a tight feeling in throat and sometimes things feel like there not getting down right is this why

Hi Joyce,

What you describe sounds like a very common anxiety symptom that's called globus hystericus. It's something I get a lot and is caused by tension which makes your throat feel tight or as if there is a lump there. Although it doesn't feel very nice it is completely harmless and there is in fact no blockage even though it might feel as though it is. I find the best way of dealing with it is to try and keep busy and concentrate on something else.
