Forgot to take citalopram on 5th day

I've just got to work and realised I haven't picked my meds up. Taking it in the morning as suited me really so Im just wondering as its only the 5th day of taking them should I take it as soon as I get home or battle it out till the morning. Or will that be too long to not take them at such an early stage.

Wow I feal really bad already. I was hoping I could take it tonight when I get home. It feels like the front of my brain has gone really numb. I assume that is the lack of serotonin. :-( How about if I take it tonight and then wait while tomorrow night to take again and just change the time I take it. Then technically I wouldn't be overtaking the meds.

Well against all better judgement I took it anyway. I was feelin so bad. I will just adjust to tomorrow night instead of in morning.

    Hi Liam

How are you feeling? You changed your time and are taking the tablet at night but dont worry there is a lot of people that take them at night. Some say it helps them sleep. If you have doubts about this it is best to go and talk to your GP.

You are only on day 4 or 5 so give the tablets a chance to work and try not to blame all your feelings and emotions on the tablets after all its those same feelings that were the reason for going on to these tablets in the first place.

Please let us know ow youre getting on. The side effects if any will subside and go away after 7-14 days.

    Best regards

    Andrew

    Hi andrew.

Thanks for the words. I have felt alot better today but I will see what happens over the next few days. I wish I could shake this sore head feeling. Hopefully it will pick up. I do think the meds of heightened the anxiety though.

When you first start taking these meds they do make you feel more anxious in the first week, which does suck. Just hang in there, you'll be ok
