Joyce, you are jumping from one thing to the next to the next,.

Since I have been there myself can you promis me you will go to the Drs and tell him/her whats going on with your anxiety.

They can make it more easier for you, there are meds that are safe during pregnancy as I have had to find out cos I was going to try for kids soon.

    Hi Joyce,

Yes anxiety can effect the throat and swallowing.. Make sure your not clenching your jaw without realising it beacuse it causes tension in the face and throat and can give you these feeling you are having but if you are worried then i suggest you just run it by your doc.

I'm sure you'll be find and dandy though

    Hi Joyce

Yes, it is more than likely caused by anxiety. It is a very common symptom to feel like there is a lump or some restriction in the throat. It is easy to convince yourself that there is something seriously wrong, but it is normally caused by a muscular spasm brought about by anxiety. It does go when you are able to relax and the anxiety goes down.

If you are really worried about this is it always best to see your GP so he/she can give your throat a thorough check and reasure you that everything is normal.

    to you.

That's really unfair of your Dr as it's hard to stop worring !!!

Everything about your body any changes causes you to worry.

You need to try cbt or meds other wise you will stay in this cylce
