To recap. I went to the breast clinic in January for a lump. After a mammogram and ultra-sound, it turned out to be nothing and reported that I was full of nodules and cysts. Anyway, I've always tried to be aware of these when I check myself every month, however this weekend when I was checking myself, I couldn't work out if the lump I could feel was one discovered from the ultrasound or a new one in the end I was doubting myself and got myself into a panic. so, after prodding and checking it for the last couple of days I decided to go to the GP for some reassurance. She was very nice and agreed that the "lump" was small, mobile and smooth and probably nothing to worry about but said it's always a tricky situation as you cant dismiss a lump from a clinical exam so she said it wouldn't hurt to go back to the consultant for a follow up but told me that she didn't think it was anything to worry about.
So, off I go again I have an appointment next Tuesday. I hope the consultant wont think I'm wasting his time?
After having the tests done in January, do you think the chances are slim the lump is something horrible? I cant believe I'm going through this again 6 months on. the GP said I need to speak to him about some sort of plan as I cant keep doing this every 3/6/12 months. I may as well get my own ultrasound machine.
