Hi everyone i'm so glad I found this website! Iv'e been having some symptoms that have really scared me .Iv'e been having heart palpitations suddenly out the blue, when im standing or if I get up suddenly .They don't happen when i'm relaxed, so dose this sound like anxiety? I know iv'e been under alot of stress lately, I've only had this happen twice before ,which is why it's frightening me . Has anyone else had this ? . How Do I stop it happening?

Hi Amy, and welcome. Im assuming you are quite a young person? so its unlikely to be problems with your heart, tho its always a good idea to talk to your doc about any symptoms that are worrying you. If you suffer with anxiety then yes it could be because of this, but as its only happened a few times and not every time, it could also be that your blood pressure is on the low side and this can cause your heart to beat a bit stronger and also feel a bit of dizziness on standing up. Have you had any checks with the doc recently?
