The irony of this thread is quite amusing,
it probably ranks up there with "Agoraphobic's day out!"

The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.

Johnno. I think this is a very good idea. There's different levels to Social Anxiety, isn't there?
I don't cope well in group situations but I do try to make it to the event. I also get paranoid about what people think about me and wonder if they talk about me behind my back.
If anyone else is willing to meet up, I would personally consider it.
went to many "meet ups" from the social- anxiety .org.uk site, was great to meet people in the same position.
knowing you wont be judged and people wont question if you stay for half hour n go etc.
we used to call em a social gathering for antisocials
they do take a lot of planning as people always pull out last minute so you do need a few definates so you wont be alone waiting.
maybes go to the site i mentioned and check out meetings thread.
good luck

god i say 'and' too much!
i hope many ppl will be interested because i would rly look forward to mixing wit ppl wit the same problem as me
and thanks for the replies anyway guys much appreciated
and kendo yr message is kinda contradicting itself lol
I'd be up for it anyway... sometime in september maybe. I'm trying to foward another assault on my Social Anxiety in the first few weeks of Uni as i made so much progress there last year =)
