Autumn is almost here! You can tell when the summer is almost over when the farmers have got all their crops in and start to plough the fields. The house martins have gone also, on their long trip back to Africa for the winter. This time of the year always reminds me of a verse in Justin Hayward's song "forever autumn" - "I watch the birds fly south across the autumn sky... and one by one they disappear.
