hugs and words of encouragement needed

I could do with a hug, I have hit rock bottom again and am feeling so down I am going to go to the docs on Monday to discuss things, I haven't been to the docs in over 4yrs after having a really unsympathetic doc see me last time and I'm really scared but I know I need to go as I can't continue feeling the way I am but I'm scared that I will chicken out, I am also soooo scared to take meds but I think that I need them to help at the moment.

The doctors are much more clued up on things than they used to be, just be honest about how you are feeling

There is no shame in taking meds I was on them for many years

I found CBT very usefull although you may have to wait some time for it , perhaps it would be worth enquiring and going on the waiting list

hiya mate going to docs is good idea, i was on meds prozac for 2 years and once i felt better in my self i came off and exercise helped me to get same sort of lift and buzz even just briskj walking every day.

like kaz says cbt is great and as u know has really helped me, mayb u could enquire about that. hugs to u xxx

I know how scary it can be, and how easy it is to avoid the situation and stay at home. Please try to go, you will feel so much better, you know its what you need to do to get better.
I put off going for years, but until you get help nothing will change.

Hiya hun ....sorry 2 hear u not feeling gud .

Going 2 the docs is a good step and they will be able 2 advise you on what 2 .As for taking meds ive been on citalopram and they have helped ....if you had severe back ache or asthma you would take meds 2 help you feel better and thats all they are hun ..they are meds 4 your brain which is a part of your body like anything else so if you need them then take them .......there are soooooooooo many different ones available 2 day.
