Re: Weird chest sensations after meals.....
Hey,
I remember reading something else to do with this a while ago...wish remember where!
Anyway there's a major nerve called the Vagus nerve - the longest in your body - that runs from brainstem to bottom (!) and innervates most of your vital organs...lungs, heart, kidneys, liver, stomach etc. I read that big meals can stimulate the branch of the nerve that serves your stomach and it can have a knock-on effect on your heart such as palpitations! How weird! But I guess not so weird when you think that everything in your body is kind of squished together.
Or maybe it's just a chemical thing, related to blood sugar levels?
Does this help at all? I'm sure it's very normal, I have it often too.
Take care,
Anna. x
