Hi

Seroquel is an anti-psychotic. It is normally prescribed for people with Bi-polar but the medial profession now use it at a lower dose for people with acute anxiety with racing thoughts.

I take it and it has calmed me down real good and helps me get a good nights sleep. I take 100 mg but people who have bi-polar can take 400mg upwards.

It is quite sedative hence that is why I take it at night.

Thanx shena, i was on 500mg and now been cut down 2 3oomg.yes it makes me very sleepy for the first few days on ot and now im fine , hey thanx 4 your post xxxx

Hi

I have been on Seroquel for quite a few weeks. They left me tired for the first few weeks. i am now on 300mg a day (50mg morning, 50mg lunch and 200mg at night). The only side effects i have noticed is dry mouth and wieght gain. So far so good on them. Hope this has been of some help.
