It's official I have managed to successfully withdraw from mirtazapine. This is the second time I have had to do this. The first time I failed. This time I've done it I'm off it perhaps a little unconventionally (cold turkey) then mega panic and vanxiety and sleep disturbance. It is all very well going onto these drugs but try coming off them. It is almost impossible. I have done this with minimal support and some valium and zopiclone. Last year I was very ill with anxiety and depression. I wanted a quick fix. Mirtazapine gave me that but I also put on loads of weight and felt numb and hopeless. I didn't think I would be able to do this but I have. I'm still experiencing some anxiety but at the moment I'm stable.
