I was diagnosed with atrial ectopics at the beginning of the year. Unlike a lot of what i read on here, mine are NOT brought on by anxiety/panic/stress. When i panic, i never get them. I obviously get a racing heartbeat, but thats it. I get none of the thump/slow rate/fast rate/pausing/thump..

Mine started at a time when i was feeling okay - not panicky or anxious.

Saying all this, it makes me wonder if mine are something perhaps more than a stress related issue.

Anyone else relate to this?

I have atrial ectopics too.
Strange thing about them is that you don't need to have panic to experience them. Moderate/small stress can flood your system with stresshormones without us beeing aware of it.
Some people say you don't even have to be stressed at all to have them, it's probably true, as any medical dictionary says ectopics are normal cardiac events, and not illness related.
Stress is one trigger though, as is coffe, nicotine, alchol, lack of sleep, dieting, anemia etc etc.
