Strange Question

Hello. I'm new here. I'm 30 years old and have two daughters, ages 5 and 3. I was hoping to get your thoughts on my General Anxiety/Health Anxiety. My husband was diagnosed with Panic Disorder 2 years ago. After watching him go through this, I developed General Anxiety/Health Anxiety and I have occasional panic attacks. My husband and I seem to "feed" off of each other. If one of us is having a good day and the other one isn't, eventually both of us end up having a bad day! Do you think that this has happened to me because of watching my husband go through this? I've always been a strong person - able to handle anything that is thrown at me. Now I'm constantly worried and I have more symptoms than I can handle. I've read before that sometimes anxiety is a learned behavior, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you!

hi there, yes i think its very possible for you to feel this way if u have watched your hubby suffering, can u mayb both get some counselling?

i think its a vicious circle when one is up and one is down it tends to bring the other one down so therefore you not doing each other any favours.

i always find a brisk walk helps me so much i do it daily, mayb u or both of u could do daily walks together for half hour or so, im sure after a week or 2 u both will feel the benfits.

I honestly think that a lot of panic is because of "life's stresses"
all I can suggest at the moment is to read the "symptoms" information on the left of this screen - it really will answer many of your questions.
Also I think Donna has given some really good advice.
What you read on here - at first may seem a bit harsh - BUT it is all meant with the best of intentions
We are all sufferers so we do know what we are talking about
