    Unhappy Quite distressed please help

I am needing some comfort as I recently had problems with violent thoughts but after being quite poorly over the weekend with a severe water infection and low blood pressure. I had a really horrible thought last night that I would set fire to my brothers house and it was almost like I wanted to do it. Please can anyone offer me some words of comfort. I don't think I have OCD but do have anxiety I am on Citalopram 20mg

    Hiya hun

It's your anxiety that is triggering these thoughts m'dear and the best way to fight the thoughts is to fight the anxiety. The thoughts have probably become bad because you are ill at the moment and this will be increasing your anxiety.

Try not to worry because i don't think for a minute that you would act on these thoughs, people very rarely do-if at all in these situations.

If the thoughts continue after your illness has cleared then perhaps have another word with your GP about re-thinking your mediactions.

Hope you feel better soon and please don't worry
