Patch on my tongue.

Hi,
For the last week, I have had an oval shaped 'bald-like' patch on the side of my tongue. This patch is pinker and smoother than the rest of my tongue. I think that it has become a little bigger in the last 2 days. I am worried about it. It doesn't feel different. I brush my tongue with a toothbrush every day. I moved to the UAE about 5 weeks ago and do not have a doctor that I can see yet. Can you please help me? My mind always races to the worst case scenario.

Isn't it geographic tongue? It's a harmless condition, quite common.
