Hi Kris
First of all big hugs for you
I know exactly how you feel. I think there are so many ppl with this fear of death, unfortunately usually anxiety sufferers think about it a lot more than others. It something I can't get my head around, but it must be fear of the unknown, along with not seeing family etc again.
When I was 12 years old, I thought I was having a heart attack & I have thought that I'm dying most of my life & I am 51 years old now.
"The soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live", is a line from the song 'The Rose' by Bette Midler (useless information), but that line is so true.
I have no answer for you I'm sorry, but know that you're not alone by any stretch of the imagination, we are all here for each other.
Love
Els

“Can a man still be brave if he’s afraid?”“That is the only time a man can be brave,” ― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
Hi Kris,
Sad to say I also have this fear and yet I am very religious so I really should not be fearful. I think it is when my anxiety takes over. The unknown is always scary to us. I have found as I have gotten older though that the more we focus on our fears we aren't truly living life in the present tense. We are living life in the future. Death is always in the future. If you can focus on the here and now it is easier. It helps me. Do take care.
