    hi there, i have been on mitazapine 30mg for 3 weeks after being on flouoxetine for many years (just didn't seem to be making any difference anymore).i am having the most weird dreams but not nightmares yet (touch wood).i am feeling a little more positive and definately sleeping better but although i am not hungry i find i can't stop thinking about eating. i am putting on weight. does this continue or wear off?

    Mirtazapine seems to be notorious for causing weight gain. I know I've put some on after about 2 months on them!

    I have to say though, I've seen the best results on these so far. Can't beat the sedation for a good night's sleep. Never really had side effects (or any improvement in mood to speak of) from any other anti depressant I've taken.
