Perfection requires a little madness
It is a horrible thing to experience and the article is very reassuring. One of the interesting things is the note that it occurs in people who don't have anxiety. That is true and I never thought about that before. I remember over a decade ago when my uncle died just feeling numb. And that is how I would describe it but analysing it for I did actually become depersonalised for a bit. Anyone who has experienced loss can relate to that but maybe hasn't realised it before- like me. I can even remember feeling that way when at 13 years old my girlfriend of 9 months chucked me.
