    valium

    i suffer from social anxiety and wondered if valium would help, i dont want to take it on a daily basis just when theres like a social gathering. how much would i need to take if its just a on a one off basis? does anyone else do this?

    I think you need to talk to your GP about this. They don't give out valium (diazepam) easily and when they do prescribe it, it usually a very low dose for a short period of time. as I have found out myself it can come become addictive

    Your GP may suggest other medication to help deal with your anxiety and possibly counselling or CBT.

    Hi there - Taking valium never stays a "one off" for very long. I have been withdrawing from it for 18 months and it's been hell - don't do it! Speak to your GP about a low dose SSRI if you really feel that you cannot do without.
