Not wishing to become a band cirtitque, but almost certainly doing so by posting this reply - I have previously thought "The Smiths" and "Happy" as diametrically opposed.

I agree about the Smiths! Lots of their stuff is actually quite upbeat.
To my shame, I have just been scouring the Internet for bluegrass music, which as I get older I am finding myself developing an unhealthy taste for :O
