    Anxiety gets REALLY bad on a night

    Im actually writing this, as i actually feel im about to die :(

    Every night i dread going to bed.. I'll stay out as late as i can, or try to do something to avoid the thought of going to bed.
    Its guaranteed im never ever asleep before 2am!!
    I'll just lie awake, and everything goes through my mind .. When i eventually feel really tired and start to dose off, i'll jump and scare myself.

    As soon as it hits about 10pm my anxiety flares up. I'll start to do this funny movement thing with my mouth, constantly gasp for air & monitor my heart :( (not good)

    It gets gotten to the point where im actually never tired.

    Im almost convinced my heart is going to stop.

    Ive been tols so many times its not, and during the day im fine, but come night time im a mess.

    Help :(

    I can totally sympathise with what you are going thru - I dread going to sleep as thats the only time my panics strike - I wake with my heart racing and feel awful - I have experienced this for over 10 years on and off - lately they have come back and I am desperately trying to control them again but its hard I know... all I keep thinking is 'It never did me any harm last time or the time before etc' - I do find that the Bachs Rescue Remedy helps too

    People feel alone and vulnerable at night and this magnifies their worries. In the day time there are people around that could help if required, at night there isn't as many (when I say people I mean medical services) so the worry becomes greater.
