starting to take Lexapro and am scared
tomorrow i am about to start taking lexapro, after being prescribed it months ago! - 5 mg a day. just read the list of side effects and am terrifed now. need some reassurance that it will be worth it. i kinda like how i am now (without the panic), i dont want to turn into shaky overweight zombie!

I just wanted to let you know that I took Lexapro for 2 1/2 years and had no side effects whatsoever. I know people react differently to meds but honestly for me it was a lifesaver.
Remember 5mg is not much (that is what I was taking) so please give it a try and hopefully you will get as much benefit as I did. I weaned myself off after 2 1/2 years very gradually and didn't have any side effects then either.
