Panic Attack Today

I had a panic attack today - it was awful

pain in my arm and shoulder - then both arms went numb and it felt like a cold wave was going up my arms - my heart rate was so fast and i felt like i was going to die!

I feel so tired and have no energy

I am at work and i managed to calm myself down but it was so frightening

they keep coming back - it can really get me dowm at times

Hi Paul,
I am the same today.. I've been so well for so long but there's so much mounting in on top of me that the numbing sensations are back in my face & arm today.... after so long being good I'm up the walls with the sensations!

PLUS I've no diazepam on me at work so I may have to go home to get them!! How did you calm yourself down?

Hey - nice to hear from you

Well i initially panicked like a loon and ws inches away from calling the ambulance but then i just say myself down and started to control my breathing and after about 20 minutes it had subsided

I am on citalopram 20mg and last year my doc dropeed me to 10mg overnight and after about 6 weeks i was all over the place - so i had it raised back up again

i have such long periods where all is fine and then it just comes back and attacks!

How are you feeling now?
