    citalopram and emetophobia

Have got my pills today, and going to start taking them tomorrow. I'm emetophobic and really worried about the nausea/sickness! Please be honest and tell me how bad it actually is...

I did get a bit naseaus/gassy in the first couple of weeks, but not to the point of being sick, just an uncomfortable feeling, that's all.

It's really common the nausea fear.
Your doc might be able to give you something for it. Or it might be you
don't even get any side effects, I always read any about any tablets I take and the list of side effects is enough to scare anyone off taking them, but I rarely get any of the side effects

Yeah, i wouldnt normally worry, but my doctor brought it up, then i looked on here and it seemed pretty common! I dont usually get nausea to be honest (exept when i panic and my throat tightens!) and havnt been sick since i was 5, so fingers crossed!!!

I've been on Citalopram for nearly 4 weeks and have had no nausea whatsoever. I don't think that it is inevitable for everybody.
