Can't come online much

You know what, I don't know how much more I can take!

I have just received an electric bill of 127 quid & that is under-estimated, that's for 3 months. I live on my own, my gas is extremeley more than that. How can one person living in a one bedroomed flat use over 100 quids worth of gas & electric per month. Thats over one third of my income. I have switched things off & worked out that the comp is using more than anything else, a lot more!

The internet is my only contact with the outside world, apart from a trip to the local shops twice a week. What else can I lose? What more is going to happen? Every day there is something else.

I use the internet a lot, especially this site for help late at night/early morning when I'm feeling panicky or anxious, also to try & help others. My life has been one big f**king joke. I am so fed up, I may as well stay in bed all day.

Anyway, will come here when I'm online so not totally lost.

Aww els,

my elec was £432 and my gas was £798.

when i phoned up to see if some awful mistake had been made it hadn't its all gone up by 50%, the good news is its about to come back down again.

I've stopped using my tumble dryer, the dishwasher, if it gets any worse i'll explode.

The cost of living is ridiculous, and to top it all, our council tax here has just gone up and so has the water.

so i do understand how upset you are

aw elspeth ,i know how you feel have you ever considered a gas and electric meter ,only way i can keep on top of mine now easier to find a fiver than money for a huge bill , im skint myself all time atm its horrible but what can we do about it sod all no one wants to help us its very hard but keep your chin up
