    Sertraline: decreasing dose

    Hi

I have been on Sertraline for over 1 year due to Anxiety. It took a while to work, and was awful at first. I was on very small doses of the liquid at first, then 50mg tablets, then up to 75mg. I was on the liquid because the Dr thought I seemed very sensitive towards Sertraline (was on Citalopram for 1 week and it was hell!). After probably 6 to 8 months after taking 50mg, Dr has told me to take half a 50mg once a day for 2 months, and then reduce that to half a tablet (25mg) once every 2 days.

Can anybody tell me what sort of effect coming off Sertraline has had on them?? After a couple of weeks of 25mg a day, I seem a little dizzy at time, and a few twinges in my head. I am sure that the dizziness started when I decreased the dose.

I suppose your body has to get used to a decreased dose and that is probably what it is??!!

    Any thoughts anyone?

    Mooky x
