    stomach cancer worries please help

    hi all
    i have been doing quite well up until this week. I have convinced myself I have all the early symptoms of stomach cancer. I am really upset, anxious and look dreadful.
    I have pain in my stomach not all the time but comes and go throughout the day, pain behind my ribs and between my breasts, indigestion, am really tired and tearful.
    I know these could be the symptons of less serious stuff but I always think the worst and cant cope. I am seeing my doctor on Monday morning but its not soon enough.
    can anyone offer any advice please, i really feel fed up and dont want to trouble my family anymore (i do that enough!)

    hey,

    your symptoms sound like panic and anxiety to me, jsut like i was about ten weeks ago (up until about a week ago to be fair), i looked grey, i wwas lethargic, had a lump in my throat and couldn't swallow, excesssive acid production, the same pains you describe.

    today?

    i am cancer/MS/losing my eyesight free

    I'm sure everything will be ok, it jsut doesn't feel like it right now, can you do someething to take your mind off it?

    thanks anniew, its awful and im trying to distract myself but sometimes the panic is overwhelming. Thanks for your reply.

    All these pains can be caused by anxiety and usually are. The more tense and stressed you get the worse your muscles react and we all know how linked the stomach is to anxiety. Try to do something to take your mind off it for now, jigsaws, wordpuzzles, baking... anything that requires your full attention. Above all try to consciously relax even if you can only manage it for a few minutes at a time..listen to some calming music. Monday will come and you will be reassured, I'm sure. Take care. Hugs XXXX
