hi there, i don't suffer from anxiety but i recently went out with a guy who did. i loved him to bits and tried my best to help him but because he has anger issues and insomnia on top of the anxiety it destroyed the relationship and i couldn't cope with the pressure anymore and we split up 5 months ago. i have been left feeling like a total failure and i constantly wonder how he is and if he is having a panic attack. i feel guilty for leaving him to some degree but i was under so much pressure to help him when he wouldn't help himself and it was effecting my whole life and i have 2 kids to consider. i suggested cbt, i registered on here to talk to other suffers to help me understand it and i researched the net for lists of therapists close to where he lives but he didnt try any of these options. i am not going to claim that i understand how you guys feel suffering from anxiety because i don't fully understand it, but it would help me to talk people who do suffer with it so if you guys do meet up in south wales please let me know. i live in cardiff. thanks x
