How long to get out of system?

Hiya vonnie, we do sound very similar (I was on 20mg as well). It's now 6 days since I've not taken Prozac and the side effects are now almost gone. I'm too concentrating on the natural side of meds. I've tried the B complex which to be honest didn't do anything for me. I've just ordered a Magnolia and Rhodiola Complex which is supposed to be really good for anxiety so going to give that a go. Anything as long as I don't have to go back on meds

Hi Cat,

Was just reading your threads and was wondering how you are doing as im in the middle of comming off the dreaded citalopram and having days when i feel awful, i was on 20mg a day then went up to 40 then back down to 20and now on 10 ( over 8 wks) i'v been on 10mg for over a week and am hoping to stop very soon was just wondering how long it does take for them to get out of your system??

Hiya swat, I'd say it took me 2 weeks to get fully out of my system after stopping meds completely. I felt more anxious for that 2 weeks and on edge but then I suddenly felt it lift and am now doing better.

When I came off Citalopram last year I did a week of 10mg then a week of one day a tablet the next not then just stopped (as advised by my Dr). Felt quite dizzy when I stopped them but that soon went away.
