    Clonazepam

I am currently taking clonazepam for my panic disorder. (Or klonopin if you are in the United States).

Are any of these similar or the same as those listed above?

    Re: Clonazepam

I don't think so. Clonazepam belongs to a group of drugs called benzodiazepines. They are used for acute anxiety problems and for their anti convulsant properties too. I have only ever been given it when in hospital to help me to get to sleep. Other drugs that are similar are diazepam, nitrazepam, lorazepam.
Different countries have differing guidelines on how freely these drugs are prescribed as generally they are addictive and can cause withdrawals symptoms on stopping. However, this can be managed by tapering the dose and in consultation with your doc.
