is this a usual symptom?

just a quick question really..does anyone else get a tightness like a ring in their chest and neck area? feels like i need to clear my throat, but it doesnt help. this lasts all day.
also, does anyone get the feeling that occasionally (sometimes every 2-3 hours) your breath just goes away for a second, like you need to gasp but only very mildly.
i am paranoid that this may be asthma, am hoping its just my good old mate anxiety

any advice would be much appreciated!

Don't feel paranoid, these are classic anxiety symptoms. I have dealt with these symptoms for years. I get the tight throat and chest and a feeling sometimes like something is stuck in my throat. The split second gasps for air are common with me too. I know you know this, but try not to worry about it.
