    Feel so scared

Hi I am slowly recovering from labyrinthitus (inner ear infection) which gave me the worst fear ever couldnt stand up for 2 days. Now I have lost the little bit of confidence I had gained . Feel dizzy and funny headed all the time and now there is a load of pressure in my ears . I also feel very spaced out and am struggling like mad, constantly feel like I will collapse. The doc didnt give me anything as he only offered antihistamines and you cant take them with tranquillisers.
He did give me water tabs to get my blood pressure down but I am too scared to take them. Just need a bit of reassurance please.

    hi Barb,

It's normal that you're feeling a little scared after what you've been through. You are on the mend though and hopefully you'll feel like your old self again soon.

    Hi Barb

Sorry you have been feeling bad. I used to suffer from awful ear infections and like you would feel like I couldnt stand, I found if I was sitting down to prop my head up with pillows and this helps to stop feeling dizzy.

I know you must be scared to take the water tabs, but they will probably help stop the dizziness - take them when someone is there so you have the reassurance thats what I do!

Take care and I hope you feel better soon

I always make the big mistake of reading the possible side effects on tablets and then sit very still for an hour after taking one watching to see if anything horrible might happen to me - so far it hasn't!

Hope you feel better soon Barb.
