bowel probs.......

sorry in advance for this gross question....but has anyone else had mucus with a bowel movement...not in the stool but ive noticed its in the water bowel (sorry!)...now ive seen a specialist who says i have internal piles (i have 3 children so i believe him!) but has anyone else experienced this...i dont have bleeding but terrified its cancer..i have a sigmoidoscopy in 2 wks and im so sick of having my head down the bowl checking...im wondering if ive a touch of IBS as i get a few symptoms but have read the mucus with IBS is white..mine is a slimy yellowy colour(gross i know)..........to anyone who can help..thanksxxxxx

I have had and still have similar problems. Mine usually occurs during spikes in my HA and ofton is associated with periods of diarrhea or constipation but not always. I am sure you are freaked out but I have had this for years so try not to worry and let us know what you find out from your tests.
