Folic Acid and Anxiety

I have been told that folic acid is connected to anxiety as in lack of folic acid - I was told this by someone at my health centre, and I didnt want to sound too thick so didnt ask anymore but is folic acid another name for Vit B6 or is it different? I looked online and found that it mentioned Vit B9 which I didnt know existed. Is folic acid able to be bought as tablets?
Has anyone taken this and found that it helps with their anxiety?

You can buy folic acid in any health shop or chemist in tablet form.

I once went to a herbalist for help with my anxiety and he was a great believer in folic for anxiety, unfortunately it isn't something I find very easy to take because it gives me headaches.

i take folic acid butt hats only cos ive hot b12 deficency as far as i know as carol said can be brought anywhere really

I had folic acid prescribed by my GP when I was pregnant and trying to get pregnant. It is also put in most breakfast cereals
