10mg. No problems to date, except for sleepiness.
Seems this 5th week I have nausea, belly, headaches?
But still feeling positive....
Can the side effects kick in now?

How's this for quick dearie?
Yep, you can still get side effects after this time. I was having side effects in my 5th week. It sounds more like you might have picked up a virus though lol!

What would you do if you weren't afraid?
I drew the line between hope and despair, and the line will hold.

Now anyone who calls me 'Dearie' is a friend for life!
Thanks chum.
I opted 2 days off work on the basis of a virus, but it was different.
What really interests me is what's happening five weeks into it? Clearly the drug is changing my essential chemistry - that interests/worries? me.
I guess my question is: how long will the drug keep changing? At what moment will I 'stabilise', i.e not recognise I'm on any meds?

To be honest, my answer when it comes to your questions would be "I don't know". I was completely naive when I started taking citalopram and Christ, did I learn the hard way.
You can't take anything for granted with SSRI medications like citalopram. The symptoms you describe are classic citalopram side effects. Vague nausea is just about the only side effect I still get after 7 weeks. I would have expected you to suffer them from day one. Have you recently changed your dose or forgotten to take any doses?
I still think it's more likely that you are suffering from a stomach bug or something. What I would do is have a word with your doctor for reassurance. Let us know what he or she says and I can put it in my citalopram survival guide

I think you were right, PP - It came and went like a nasty virus.
I've started my third month on 10mg C this weekend, and it's great. My whole outlook is back to where it was before the depression/anxiety.

Well done KP keep up the good work!
