what on earth do i do?

I got a letter this morning,the ENT consultant wants me to go for an MRI scan on monday.I am so scared of enclosed spaces,i really dont think i can go through with it.what shall i do?

Ring the hospital and see if they have an open scanner - scanners are scary i know i was in an open one - the people there are sooo nice - i rang and asked them to tell me about the scanner as i was so afraid to go - the nurses were so understanding
Read sharona's thread but the absolute best advice she give is Keep your eyes shut.
I took a teddy in with me it had to be checked with a magnet first -
I held my teddy and in my head whil the scan was on i carefully described my ted as if to someone else kept my mind off what was happening
