anyone felt really tired when coming off venlafaxine?

Hi, have been on venlafaxine for nearly 3 years now as I have GAD and other things too. It is no longer working and after counselling and CBT I feel strong enough to give it a go on my own with no medication. I am on 75mg and the Dr has told me to alternate this with 37.5mg for 3 weeks and then 37.5mg every day for 3 weeks then every other day and stop. I have been doing the first week of alternating now and I feel sedated, I cannot stay awake, I have no energy ( I do have a chest infection atm which is making my asthma bad too) I am bathed in sweat and shaky and this screen is a bit blurred, is this normal has anyone else done this, it is the tiredness that is bothering me as I have 2 kids to get to school and back and 2 dogs to occupy all day. I am a fulltime house wife and mum so don't have to work. Slept 1 hour every morning last week just feel like hibernating help? Nic

When I was withdrawing from venlafaxine I had one day when all I could do was wake up enough to phone work to tell them I wasn't coming in, and then go back to sleep again until midday!
It doesn't last, promise. I just had it for a few days. The tiredness, that is. Brain zaps etc lasted longer.
