    Magnesium??

    Hi all,

As some of you know, I had a massage whilst in Liverpool. Well, the person who gave me the massage told me that I should take magnesium for my panic attacks. She said that lots of people have panic attacks just as a result of a lack of magnesium. Is this true? Should I start taking supplements?

    Hey Sarah,
I have been trying to eat foods rich in the vitamins that are supposed to help with panic and I haven't had an attack in over 2 weeks.
Here's a link to the site I started on. It lists all the vitamins and minerals and what foods contain them. There are also some decent recipes on there.

    Hi Sarah

It's true that magnesium can help to ease anxiety, it is prescribed a lot in France to anxiety sufferers. I had it prescribed when I was still living in France, when my anxiety and panic attacks started, along with calcium, and it does help.

    Hi Sarah,
I was reading about magnesium too earlier today. it didn't say how much you need to take though. I wonder if the amount in a multivitamin is enough or whether you need a high supplement.

The same with B vitamins, is a multivitamin dose enough or are separate supplements needed?

    Hi Lisa,
The site that I posted earlier also gives the recommended intake of magnesium when taken as a supplement.
It also has alot of other vitamins listed that help and it has a chart of vitamins and what they are for and how much of those to take.
    Here's the page on magnesium...
