    does lexapro really help?

    Ive takin a lot of diff meds for the past 2 months ive taken zoloft celexa wellbutrin and now lexapro, Ive been taking lexapro for the past week and it doesnt seem to be effective at all im on 10 mg do u think i should go up to 20? I have intrusive thoughts and am anxious all the time.

    Hi Cheyenne,

    Well all I can say is that I think Lexapro is absolutely brill. It helped me tremendously. They do say tho that it can take up to 6 weeks to get in your system so maybe you need to give it some time.

    I took it for 2 1/2 years, then weaned myself off slowly and have been off it for about 3 years now. I encourage you to give it a couple more weeks. Honestly it helped me so much, I didn't think I could go on until I started taking it.
