Going to the Dentist!!

Hi!

Just wanted to post for all the people who've been on here with dental phobias recently. I haven't been to the dentist in about 10 years at least and I posted on here on the 10th when my tooth fell out.
Well it's been 8 days of worrying but yesterday.......I made an appointment!
It's such a tiny thing to most people but I know you guys will appreciate it's a big deal for me.
I searched and searched and then found a practice that's taking NHS patients and has a dentist who specialises in nervous patients who can sedate me if need be. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time at the moment, weird.
I just wanted to say thanks for the advice and a big good luck to you guys who are facing going to the dentist at the moment. Thinking of you. If I can get there anyone can! Going on tuesday I'm sure I'll be on here to say how I got on good or bad. Hopefully it will be all round.

hi Butterfly! Believe me i know how you feel as i just had a filling with an injection for the first time this morning and i did post a thread up here to say that i was scared the injection would make me go dizzy and faint and i had constantly been worrying all week about it. Well it didn't make me go dizzy and faint, it just made my mouth feel numb although i do admit it did make me feel out of sorts for about an hour afterwards but that was probably cause i wasn't used to it. Also i did not go for five years and finally plucked up courage about a year ago and since this is the first time i have had to have any work done apart from hygenist appointments. Anyway good luck for Tuesday and i am sure you will be fine. Yes please let us know on this thread how it went.
