Just been prescribed propanolol today to take the edge of my anxiety & to try & alleviate the palpitations lets hope it works!

10mg 3 times a day

it certainly slowed my pulse down significantly and reduced my blood pressure as well which can't be a bad thing.... unless it drops to nothing! Strange thing is how different doctors seem to prescribe different doses..... I was put on 3 x 40mg/day.

Hiya,

I too have been put on propanalol today, also 10mg 3 times a day. The doctor said I can take them when I feel like I need it, is this something that other people have done? Or do you take them regardless of how you're feeling, anxious or not?

I have been told to take them 3 times a day as a rule & steph so far so good hun xx

i'm new to this site and also have been put on propanalol 10MG twice a day

i started feeling anxiety about a month ago first time and it came on just sudden :( ... had my first propanalol today see how it goes x

Seems to be doing the trick but it might give you crazy dreams if you take em near bedtime =]

i've been quite ok today at work a little bit starey and dozey than normal but apart from that pretty decent

will take my 2nd one about 9 ish i think go to bed about 12 normally
