    nearly a month...

    hi all
    some advice please...

I have been on 10 mg for nearly a month now.
had a week of nausea and drowsiness and then noticed i was perking up.
now im starting to get mild headaches, tiredness (no energy) and breathlessness again and am starting to go down the old route of 'there must be something wrong after all'

i was just starting to feel like the old me again...

    Hey Choco,
I've been exactly the same. I am on wk 4 10mg and was perking up now have headaches and general aches and pains and feel down-however, it is that time of the month so I am hoping that this is actually the reason. Could it be this in your case too? xx

    hi ya
i finished my period mid last week but definitely noticed it didnt help.
thats exactly how i feel, aches, pains feeling down etc.
maybe its just the tablets and we need to give them more time

    Hi there
!0 mg is normally a starting dose for citalopram to help it get into your system whilst keeping side effects down. After a month of 10 doc normally raises the dose am surprised he aint asked you to go back after a month for an assessment. 10 mg isnt normally enough to control anx/depression. Hope this helps

    Hi choco,

I did 10mg for 10days then jumped to 20 for 7 weeks, then 30 for 5, now I have settled on 40 mg for the last 6 weeks. Its a rollercoaster, just patience is required while you find your ideal dose. Everytime I didn't feel the med working or I had a blip I would go back to the doctors for reassurance and advice, he would normally say increase the dose and give it time to settle.

    Hope you well
