    Re: inositol

Hi, thanks, I am glad I have helped you

I'm still taking the inositol powder, however my life has changed for the better in the last month so I don't know if the inositol is helping or if I am naturally more relaxed. I find the tiredness you get from taking inositol does not affect me any more. It was something that happened for the first week or so, then stopped happening.

    Re: inositol

My nearest H&B is rather big and they stock powder and tablets. They don't seem to sell the powder form online any more. You may be better off searching for inositol powder on Google and finding a reputable company that sells it.

    Two observations about inositol:

I'm now on approximately 6g per day, and I have found that it does help to combat negative thoughts, but it does not appear to help with depression and low moods. I would recommend bipolar sufferers to talk to a specialist before trying inositol as it may not help them and has been reported to influence the swings between high and low moods.

The other observation is, in a word, flatulence. I have been guffing like a hero since I increased to 6g per day. While this is, of course, highly amusing, it tends to happen during inappropriate times, such as when I startled my girlfriend by leaping up and doing a crazy dance when Muse came on the telly - I practically followed through. I experience mild diarrhea when taking higher doses.

    Hello pyschopoet,
Sorry to hear of your unfortunate side effects of inositol(tis funny though), it must have some sort of detox effect-didn't you say it was meant to be good for the liver? I agree that it doesn't lift moods though, i am suffering more from depression at the moment and although i do feel somewhat better i don't think it has the same results as with anxiety/panic. I will carry on with a bit longer though and at least finish this bottle i've just bought, i just wish it had the same effect on my sleep patterns as it did with yours but not the other effects lol!
