    dentists

    went today first time in 8years i need 2 fillings doing but will be referred so that i can be given a sedative, will this be ok with my current medication i am on venlafaxine, promazine and mirtazapine?

    Its probably best to talk to the dentist who'll be doing the fillings. I'm sure there are different medications that can be used if one interfers with the other. I work for a gastroenterologist, and we do conscious sedation on our patients for procedures with demerol and versed and many of our patients are on many drugs. So far I've never seen a bad reaction. I'm guessing a dentist uses an even lighter combination, so I'd think there would be no problem. I wish you the best!
