fear of illness

i joined this group because so many of you seem to understand what I experience. I am amazed at this as I thought I was just crazy or chemically imblanced. I am looking forward to hearing from anyone who fears cancer however not just for myself but for any family member - the words just cause me to freeze. All medications I tried cause me to sleep and lose interest in living in general so I just go it alone. I am not sure how much longer I care to live with this fear that no one else around me seems to have. I feel like a freak.

You will feel very welcome on this site as all of us have certain fears and phobias (mine is my heart) you certainly are not a freak. You could seek help from your doctor about therapies or councelling. Just talking to people who understand and dont think you are a freak can go a long long way.
