would it have shown on an ecg 12 months ago if there was anything wrong

Hi there, i have a heart complaint called pulmonary stenosis they found it when i was 5 and i have no trouble with it at all ever...I have suffered with anxiety for 6 years now and i get palpitations that scare the life out of me..I have an ECG every year my last 1 was last october, wwould they have been able to tell back then if there was anything wrong... thses bloody palps scare me to death.

Probably, but to be honest if it has never flared up and you've been suffering from anxiety, it is 99% likely that your anxiety is to blame. Heart palpitations suck but they're harmless and they are very common. Fearing your palpitations will only make them worse.

P.S. If your condition was flaring up you would feel weak and possibly collapse in a faint after exercise due to restricted blood flow to the heart - I don't know if palpitations are even a symptom of your heart condition?

Thanks PsychoPoet.. I don't think palps are a symptom but not sure about irregular heartbeats..Are they the same ???

Also like you say i have never had any fainting fits and i don't get breathless apart from when i get air hungry thinking i can't breathe but again thats when i'm anxious x
