just started on citalopram just wanting to know is it normal to feel so drowsy and if i should continue this medication, i have been on it 3 days and feel worse than i ever have, it has been a constant battle with anxiety, panics (1 major attack) and serious depressive bouts!! i have been told it will get worse before it gets better but surely this is abit extreem?i also feel like im constantly monitoring how my chest feels , whether it feels tight or if its okay??

The short answer though is "yes" you will feel worse to begin with.

I also started Citalopram 3 days ago along with Diazepam and also feel a little worse (although Im putting down to anxiety over taking 2 differant drugs daily).
