Hi all,

I recently received a couple of vacancy adverts from my job centre. Both of them are working in medical research as admin support for cancer research organisations.

I have been making excuses about not getting a job for the past 12 months. Now, suddenly, something worthwhile has landed through my letterbox, something that has actually made me want to put my fear aside.

I've lost 2 people to cancer this year. It looks like fate may have given me a chance to strike back. How many people get that opportunity?

Wish me luck, cos if this works out I will have to tackle the root causes of my problems, and it could get nasty!

It's taken a year of anxiety and depression to show me what my life is supposed to be about, and that is helping people. Maybe I finally have a chance of a job which means something to me.
